Looking for legitimate work from home careers can be daunting to say the least. You have get rich quick programs, and tools that promise overnight wealth; seems everywhere you turn someone is trying to get into your wallet.
So let me go over a few different work from home careers that are quite legitimate, the difference between work from home opportunities and programs, and how you can start your own work from home business. (Tons of information here, so please bear with me)
1. Work from home opportunities (opportunities being the keyword) will generally be some type of program. An example of this would be Znz one, Znz is in fact a legitimate work from home opportunity. However, although I promote Znz and do rather well; the money they boast you will make is more of a marketing tactic. But we will dive more into that in just a bit.
2. Then you have legitimate work from home careers in marketing. (again please note that careers is the operative word here) This is where you will see the many products offering you overnight wealth by promising the secrets of the “internet guru’s.” Again, there is so much money to be made online that their statements (all be it exaggerated) are in fact true, but expect to work and have patience.
3. Then we have people searching for legitimate work from home jobs. (think you get the keyword idea)This one has me baffled a bit as we all know what a job implies, and the reason most of us are desperately searching to make money online is to give up our traditional jobs. I don’t know about you, but if I looked at my work from home career as being just another “job”, I would just want to quit that too. 
That said, if you are in fact looking for a work from home job, you may want to check out odesk.com. This is legitimate work, but I must warn you these people do not pay more than a few dollars (literally) for each task. Writing 500 word articles for someone (as an example) pays between 2.50 and 3.50. This is an easy hour long job or more….but if that works for you, go for it.
Let’s talk about Znz first, this is a simple program to join and start working today. This is a form of affiliate marketing which simply means you are selling other people’s stuff for a commission. The advantage of this work from home opportunity is that they have done all the leg work, and they do pay daily via Paypal or Alertpay. The only thing you need to do once you sign up is get traffic to that link by marketing it. You can do this on Craigslist, participate in forums, and/or create a website regarding Znz. Every person that signs under you will generate between 20 and 80 dollars.

So what about those of you who are striving for a legitimate work from home career? This still comes down to marketing, either as an affiliate marketer or retail marketing. (such as Amazon or Ebay) Of course you could even have your own business with your own products and/or services; either way it is still marketing! In other words, you will always need targeted traffic to your desired location.
In this case there are some good products to help get the job done, but be aware this is more of a journey then a destination. I get so many people asking me “what do you suggest, and how long do you think it will take?” I can only speak from my own experience with this work from home site, it took me almost a year to be financially able to sustain my overhead. (rent, bills, expenses, etc…) Clearly not overnight, but it’s only getting better and no one can take it away from me.

Hi Pam, in what ways can we legally market ZNZ on Craig’s List? I see a lot of disclaimers on CL about “no referral marketing”, “no affiliate marketing”, etc. And then on top of that, ZNZ claims we cannot market this as a type of “job” or “employment”.
In what area on CL should we be making our posts, what information should these posts contain, and can we only use our exact referral link as it was given to us (which looks ugly to people) or can we cloak it to say something like “Click here blah blah blah”
I already got my one offer credited through ZNZ One and I am excited to start marketing this to people, but I want to do it the right way.
Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Wow Ryan, you asked some very detailed and in-depth questions here….good for you!
Sadly, you will never be in compliance with all of Craigslist guidelines if you want to follow them to the letter. However, there is a “right way” to do it where you will not have any trouble from them. You will get “flagged” because people hate competition, so they click a button to make your ad go away…this is what I suggest and you will keep Cl happy!
Your absolutely right about Znz’s guidelines, this can not be advertised as a work from home job….that implies a guaranteed wage and this is an opportunity, not a job. So always follow that one!
Cl has a “biz ops” section and that is where you want to make your posts. So although they say “no referral marketing” “no affiliate marketing”, etc….their site was never setup to keep that from happening and let’s face it, the biz ops section is BOMBARDED with work from home opportunities just like Znz.
The biggest thing that gets their attention is blatantly ignoring their posting rules in regards to where you post and how often. They can tell when you “repost” before the 48 hour guideline and this will make them crabby….don’t do that. Also, do not post more than one ad on an account at a time. In other words, don’t post an ad and then rewrite it and post again in another city using the same account. Violating those guidelines will get you ghosted and your IP will be blocked, that sucks; trust me I did it.
Now you can create multiple accounts though. Create a CL ad that will stand out….and yes you can use HTML to cover that ugly link and cloak it to say “Click Here blah blah blah”
I am going to PM you the marketing guide so you know how to do all this.
After you create a great ad, post it once in the “biz ops section” and create another CL account using another email address, now you can post it again. I strongly suggest having MANY CL accounts and you can post and post and post, then create several more the next day. After you are creating accounts for a couple of days you can just login to each of them and “repost” using their 48 hour rule and you should never have a problem with any accounts being suspended. (At least this is how it was a year ago when I was using them, they may have changed) Make sure and keep track of all your login details and when you posted.
Doing this will bring you a lot of immediate and consistent traffic. There is one problem though, you will need several phone numbers for these CL accounts. What I did was went to Walmart and bought the ten dollar track phones. When they do a phone verification on a new account you can even change the phone number and use it again.
As long as you don’t abuse the posting every 48 hour rule I do not ever see them “ghosting” your IP. All of those accounts you created should run smoothly and keep your ad up in many cities and bring you lots of extra cash by simply logging in everyday and reposting to the accounts that have passed the 48 hours. Craigslist can be a goldmine when you “do it right!”

Pam, I’m new at this and have no idea how to get traffic. I was thinking of trying ZNZ because, while learning, I won’t lose too much money. I’m not a pro understanding the computer (just know the basics) but I’m an ambitious 84 year old who has been working retail all her life and I have one of my children here to help me if I get into a jam. Where do you think I should start sign up with ZNZ through you? Thanks for your help. I enjoy all your comments so much. By the way, I did have a website years ago selling silk flowers but altho the website was good, I had no traffic and failed.

You certainly have the right idea, start with Znz while learning how to get traffic! As I am sure you learned with your floral site (as I did with Truckin Treasures), creating a website to successfully work from home is the easy part; getting traffic is where 99.9% of ALL failures occur. Whether it’s Znz, an e-commerce site, marketing on Amazon….it’s all about the traffic. The advantage with something like Znz is the fact that it is appropriate to advertise on Craigslist and other sites like that for an immediate traffic source.
Now as for learning how to get traffic, you can start by reading my book if you haven’t already. There is a link on the right sidebar which says “Download my book”….you can click on that and then right click it to save to your computer and reference anytime. This should give you a strong direction of “how” to get traffic, but it is a lot of work and honestly without a great tool like Senuke it will be a longer process as well.

Although marketing is a legitimate work at home career, there are also plenty of legitimate work at home careers outside of marketing. Many fortune 500 companies such as Dell offer online employment opportunities with benefits. Great post!

There are more and more legitimate companies like these who are offering work from home careers to keep their overhead down. The only downside is they are tough positions to land for sure. Not only do they require a strong educational background to qualify for the position, they do tend to demand a very stable work history as well because they are in fact trusting that you will WORK from home as opposed to being sidetracked.
It has been my experience that most fortune 500 companies who offer employees the opportunity to work from home usually do that with employees that have already been with them awhile. You have to admit, while it can save them a lot of money in overhead…it also takes a lot of trust to pay some one hourly to work from home.

Here is a piece of advice which may help settle your nerves with all of this. Try and forget about Znz and GDI and concentrate on promoting various products in a “niche” that interests you; then it is simply a matter of getting traffic to those links. The reason I say to forget znz is because it doesn’t convert (or sell) well anymore since the FCM changes.
The only thing you need to focus on is finding products you feel will sell at Clickbank, get your affiliate links, then get traffic to those links. Keep it really simple Christi, remember it is just a numbers game. The more people who click on the links you get from Clickbank, the more sales you will make.

About two years ago I failed in my first attempt at online marketing. Not one to give up I have for the last year or so been looking to start again, but this time from the bottom up. (last time was trying to start at the top) Whilst researching ZNZ I came across Pam’s blog, and having read through most of her post’s I so wish I had found her sooner.
